Mortgage Tax Information
MORTGAGE TAX RATE-STATE OF OKLAHOMA
All mortgages presented to the County Clerk for recording must first be presented to the County Treasurer to insure the proper payment of mortgage tax. Mortgage Tax is based upon the amount of the mortgage and term of the mortgage.
**All mortgage tax collected is then apportioned to the schools within Custer County on the basis of their certified average daily attendance.
Rate of tax on each $100 and each remaining fraction thereof:

| Certification fee per Mortgage | ................................ | $5.00 |
*Example: Mortgage dated March 2006 and due March 2021 in the amount of $50,000
